During election season, emotions tend to run high. Informed citizens try to keep up with the latest occurrences. If you’re a political junkie like us, you spend a fair amount of time on polling websites trying to get a general idea as to where candidates are in certain races. For those who don’t know, Romney was attacked for strapped a dog travel carrier with his in it on the roof of his car. Why? He claims his dog enjoyed feeling the breeze. Those on the left went wild with criticizing Romney for being cruel to animals. However, they forgot to use their handy dandy fact check tool in seeing that Obama mentions eating dog once during his childhood in his own memoir. News of this sparked an internet sensation all over Twitter called @ObamaAteDogs and a hashtag #ObamaDogRecipes.
People have gone berserk over creating numerous memes photoshopping various images of the president and a dog about to be consumed somewhere. Before you blow a gasket over how awful this is, or how conservatives are being stupid, take a step back and realize it’s all in good fun. Those on the right tolerate being the butt of several jokes regarding multiple politicians. Trust me liberals, you’ll be fine. Let us have our fun because we’re well aware it’ll be over soon enough.
