**UPDATE** The confirmed victim is Andrew Boldt, 21, and the suspect is Cody Cousins, 23. They were classmates, but no motive has been determined yet.
As with all timelines of this nature, it is subject to change as new reports go out. We will keep this updated as we learn more information. At the moment, one victim is reported as dead.
12:09pm: Eyewitness Maria Nunez saw 2 men “tumble” out of a car near the Physics building. The men proceeded to run towards the Electrical Engineering building.
12:10: 2 students reported hearing shots and saw someone running with blood on their hands. It is at this time that at least one victim, an Electrical Engineering 362 TA, was shot and critically wounded. The shooting reportedly took place in room EE 067, though there are some conflicting accounts.
12:12: A mass-text was sent to all Purdue students and faculty warning of a shooter near EE. All buildings on campus were placed on lockdown.
12:15: Multiple emergency vehicles and a SWAT team were sent to that area of campus.
12:20: One suspect was taken into custody. Another ran from police and was at large. Students in EE were evacuated.
12:50: Police check the Armstrong Building for the second suspect following reports that someone suspicious was in a bathroom.
12:55: Critically wounded TA died. The second suspect was revealed to not be a threat.
1:00: Some buildings begin to release students.
1:05: Reports of a third suspect attempting to enter the Hampton building surface.
1:20: The third suspect is later determined to be a student on his way to class and not a threat.
1:26: The campus lockdown was lifted for all buildings except for Electrical Engineering.
1:44: A mass-text was sent announcing that there was no further threat to the campus.
6:00: Purdue officials have announced a press conference. Details to follow.
