Gov. Daniels to be next Purdue President

That’s right folks. Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels has been named the next president of our fine university. He was voted in by the Board of Trustees unanimously. Not that it was a huge secret when it was leaked a few days ago to multiple news outlets. Basically what everyone’s calling an open secret.

Several students on the social media sites are either praising the decision or are outraged by it. However, everyone can rest easy when Gov. Daniels takes over. We must remember a major role the president plays is to raise funds for Purdue. One can be certain with his invaluable connections both domestically and internationally that his fundraising savvy will be nothing but beneficial.

We at the Purdue Review welcome our new Purdue President-elect Daniels to hisĀ  job, and we look forward to what new found resources he will bring to our already awesome university.
