Grammy-nominated rapper Fetty Wap made a stop at The Egyptian Room in Indianapolis on February 18, alongside his Zoo Gang affiliates and fellow rap artist Post Malone for the Monster Energy Outbreak Tour. Several Purdue students managed to attend the event last week.
Fetty Wap has gained considerable popularity in the past year, all beginning with his smash hit ‘Trap Queen’. Fetty has since been on a hot streak with numerous other hits, including ‘679’, ‘My Way’ and ‘Again’. He was even nominated for Best Rap Song as well as Best Rap Performance at this year’s Grammys.
Despite an alarming motorcycle crash that left him hospitalized back in September, Fetty managed to put on an energetic performance for the crowd at the Egyptian Room. Multiple Zoo Gang members performed before Post Malone came out to his hit record ‘White Iverson’ (which he performed at the beginning and the end of his set). After a few songs from the Texas singer, the crowd erupted with excitement as Fetty walked onstage. He performed his most well-known records from his very young catalog of music, with the audience belting every lyric. Show after show, Fetty Wap has been hosting high-energy concerts for his fans, and Indianapolis was certainly no exception.
